What is the average cheque received?

Unfortunately there is no average repayment, rebates vary on an individual basis.

However, analysis of past claims indicates that most teachers receive a cheque for £150 - £250, with an increase of their tax free allowance saving them between £45 and £60 p.a.

Senior staff normally receive a cheque for £250 - £600, with an increase in their tax free allowance saving them approximately £150 p.a.

When will I receive my rebate cheque?

Individual tax rebate claims can take HM Revenue & Customs up to 3 months or even longer to process. Our detailed knowledge of how HMRC process tax rebate claims has enabled us to reduce the time to 6 - 8 weeks.

As you can imagine Tax Offices are sometimes reluctant to issue tax rebates. However, our experience and knowledge of the repayment system helps us to overcome these obstacles on your behalf.
